Masayoshi Fujine

MEET Masayoshi

Masayoshi ‘Masa’ Fujine was part of the TDK Ventures fellowship program during 2023. Since October of that year, he has been a field application engineer of piezo products for TDK Corporation’s ECBC PPD BG line. He works closely with customers and partners to understand their requirements, and sometimes conduct evaluation tests.

He has expertise in polymer chemistry. He has done research focused on the deformation behavior and modification of polymer materials. Masa’s other experiences include diagnosing material degradation and investigating the dominant factors that alter material properties. He is especially interested in cutting-edge technology related to various materials.

Masa joined TDK in 2021. Before that, he worked as an R&D engineer in the manufacturing of electric power receiving and transforming equipment.

Masa's motivation to join TDK Ventures fellowship program was his desire to learn about the innovative technologies possessed by various startup companies. Additionally, he wanted to broaden his perspective by communicating with people from around the world, moving away from domestic-focused work, and learning about diverse ways of thinking.

He loves kendo (a modern Japanese martial art) and traveling. He is an animal lover and has two pets.
