MEET Hitomi
Hitomi Kondo was a member of the TDK Ventures fellowship program in 2022 and 2023. She currently works within the business administration, commercialization, corporate marketing, and incubation departments at TDK Corporation headquarters in Tokyo. Her tasks there include leading various new projects relating to business incubation and business administration. Her other experiences at TDK span sustainability promotion and TDK Kindergarten Japan.
Prior to joining TDK Corporation in 2021, Hitomi worked at a major audit firm specializing in sustainability and ESG consulting. While there, she gained extensive experience in business management, accounting, finance, and taxation as a certified accountant.
Hitomi’s motivation for joining the TDK Ventures fellowship program was to learn about the startup ecosystem, and to conduct research in circular economy and carbon management topics.
She enjoys cycling, yoga, and painting. She lived in the U.S. for a year and in Singapore for five years. She loves to travel and has visited over 40 countries around the world.
