Sonya Epifantseva

MEET Sonya

Sonya Epifantseva is a master’s student in Sustainability Science and Practice at Stanford University, where she focuses on leveraging data-driven tools to evaluate climate and energy technologies. Her work centers on advancing sustainable infrastructure and climate technology through digital tools and analytical methods. Sonya’s academic background includes an undergraduate degree in Earth Systems with a concentration in environmental modeling and data science.

Prior to her graduate studies at Stanford, Sonya was actively involved in developing local environmental initiatives in her home region of Siberia, gaining hands-on experience in community-driven sustainability efforts.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Sonya is passionate about creative expression and cultivating inviting spaces. She enjoys writing short stories, baking pastries, watching movies, and decorating small spaces to make them feel cozy and lived in.
