Responsibilities
The TDK Ventures Intern will work closely with our investment team to deep-dive into world-changing technologies and solutions, gaining exposure to the entire investment lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities to supporting portfolio companies. This is a dynamic and intellectually stimulating opportunity that will enhance your understanding of venture capital investing and the deeptech startup ecosystems. This brief outline of the Intern project includes but is not limited to:
- Research and build investment thesis on a variety of sectors. Explore deeptech innovations, venture trends, and market dynamics.
- Source or identify new projects and evaluate emerging deeptech startups and trends through market research and networking.
- Conduct due diligence through detailed analysis of business models, market potential, competitive landscapes, and financial metrics.
- Analyze investment opportunities, prepare and present investment memos to the investment committee.

Qualifications
- Pre-MBA with a Bachelor’s degree in the sciences; electrical, mechanical, chemical or computer engineering, physics, aerospace, or similar field from a top-tier institution (IITs, BITs, IIITs, NITs preferred)
- 3-5 years in roles such as management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or deeptech startups
- Familiarity with deep-tech sectors like AI/ML, advanced materials, robotics, biotech, or clean technology is desirable
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis, modelling, and problem-solving.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to synthesize complex information effectively.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, proactive, resourceful and a passion for innovation
- Self-starter personality with superior work ethic and uncompromising integrity
