Overview
To address the escalating energy demands of the AI era, C2i Semiconductors is pioneering software-defined Vertical Voltage Regulator (V2R) platforms designed to revolutionize "grid-to-core" power delivery. By securing $16.7 million in Series A funding, the company is tackling the critical "last-inch" power delivery challenge, a bottleneck exacerbated by modern GPUs that are projected to require peak currents of up to 6,000A by 2030. C2i’s proprietary technology—headlined by the Manas Controller and Sarayu Power Stage—enables data centers to achieve over 96% power conversion efficiency while allowing processors to run up to 4°C cooler. These advancements not only extend the lifespan of expensive AI hardware but also offer massive economic impact, with the potential to save a 100MW facility approximately $12 million in annual energy costs. Led by a veteran team of semiconductor experts, C2i is positioned to provide the scalable, high-efficiency infrastructure necessary for the next generation of high-performance computing.
Our vision is to make energy flow more reliable, denser, and more efficient from the grid all the way to the processor core," said Ram Anant, Co-founder and CEO of C2i Semiconductors. "Partnering with TDK Ventures provides us with deep insights into advanced passives and access to a global ecosystem that will accelerate our path to mass production."
