MEET Shraya
Shraya Sapru is an engineer by training and a problem-solver at heart, driven by a deep interest in unlocking scalable impact through systems, technology, and capital. Shraya holds a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from NITK Surathkal. With 6+ years of experience across consulting, technical sales, and strategic communications, she is now exploring the investing landscape particularly the intersection of entrepreneurship, science, and technology which brings her to TDK Ventures.
Most recently, Shraya was a Senior Consultant at Samagra, India’s leading governance consulting firm, where she partnered with senior political and bureaucratic leadership on large-scale systems transformation. She led the Education Program with the Government of Haryana, designing and rolling out India’s first integration of entrepreneurship, socio-emotional learning, and modernized assessments across 6,000+ public schools, reaching 1.4M first-generation learners. Prior to this, she worked with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to enhance nursing education and expand the skilled nursing workforce by 50K+. In addition, she spearheaded Samagra’s strategy and communications vertical, where she launched Sushasan, India’s first governance podcast and built a community of 100K+ learners and practitioners.
Before her work in public systems, Shraya was with ExxonMobil in a techno-commercial role, managing 20+ global and Indian clients across the plastics packaging ecosystem, including TetraPak and Unilever. She worked on developing advanced agricultural film solutions that improved crop yields from farmlands by 20% while reducing input cost. She also developed Exxon’s global go-to-market strategy for a non- conventional rotomolding segment, commercializing the firm’s first product in that space.
Outside of work, she enjoys practicing yoga, discovering new cuisines, writing, and has also trained in rifle shooting as a sport.
