Sam Hill is an Investment Analyst with TDK Ventures and supports TDK Ventures’ Fund EX1. He focuses on finding and supporting entrepreneurs tackling the next frontiers of energy transformation and decarbonization with breakthrough technologies.
Sam holds a master's degree in materials science from the University of Cambridge where he began working on climate tech through research on perovskite photovoltaic materials. He started his career in strategy consulting with Roland Berger supporting corporates and investors in navigating the energy transition and other high-tech industries. Prior to joining TDK Ventures, Sam was an investor at Clean Growth Fund in London where he invested in and supported early-stage climate tech start-ups in the UK.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys anything in the outdoors and is a keen runner and cyclist.

This highlights a mature startup ecosystem—averaging eight years in age—with over $500 million in funding already deployed across players.
