Kyle Chau

MEET Kyle

Kyle Chau is a TDK Ventures Fellow in our Engagement Team. Kyle comes to us from Trusted Positioning Inc., a TDK Group company, and is based in Calgary, Canada, where he currently serves as a Senior Manager–Software Quality.

Kyle joined TPI (later InvenSense and then TDK) in 2015 as a Test Engineer. He holds a BSc in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary and has one patent granted, with another currently pending.

Throughout his career, Kyle has focused on positioning software, including noteworthy projects integrating TPI software into flagship and mid-tier phones. His responsibilities have expanded across multiple TPI products, many that intersect with TDK Ventures’ portfolio, sparking his motivation to contribute to our mission as a Fellow and learn more about our investment and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

On a personal note, Kyle welcomed their first daughter in 2024. In his spare time, he’s a true adventurer who enjoys trying just about anything at least once—sports, console gaming, drawing, painting, hiking, and traveling, to name a few.
