Kohei Nawaoka

Before joining TDK Ventures, Kohei has been working in TDK Technology & IP HQ as R&D. In May 2022, he was relocated to Deutschlandsberg, Austria, where he spent nearly four years before February 2026. During his time there, he enjoyed running marathons and traveling, completing eight marathons and visiting 37 countries. He is excited about this new opportunity and looks forward to broadening his horizons while working with the team.

Kohei’s passion for spintronics research led him to earn his Ph.D. from Osaka University in 2018. His expertise spans materials physics, with a particular focus on thin films, MEMS fabrication processes, materials characterization and analysis, and programming. He also enjoys learning about a wide range of topics.
