MEET Catherine
Catherine Tea is currently an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School (HBS). Prior to HBS, she spent five years at Dow Chemical in Houston, Texas, as a robotics engineer focused on sourcing, piloting, and implementing robotics solutions for the inspection and maintenance of industrial assets and process equipment. She also played a key role in shaping Dow’s robotics roadmap. Drawing from her firsthand experience navigating the challenges of robotics adoption and implementation, Catherine is passionate about helping identify where investment can drive the greatest impact. She holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
Outside of work, Catherine enjoys building and creating, especially through sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She has designed and crafted everything from formal gowns and sweaters to her own wedding reception dress, and even reupholstered furniture. A devoted animal lover, Catherine volunteers at her local shelter and has raised two rescue cats, Bleu and Belle, since rescuing them as kittens. A former competitive swimmer, she also enjoys staying active, exploring hiking trails, and discovering new outdoor adventures in and around the Bay Area.
