TDK Ventures is currently seeking a Portfolio Program Manager for its Startup Liaison function. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an award-winning, top-tier Corporate Venture Capital fund in Silicon Valley. The Portfolio Program Manager will ensure TDK Ventures brings consistent, visible and appreciated value to portfolio companies. You will continuously explore and identify potential mutual value creation scenarios (TDK Goodness and Synergies) with TDK teams around the world to further collaborations with TDK Ventures portfolio and non-portfolio companies.
Drive and program/project manage all synergy projects with startups, TDK teams and partners
Assess potential synergy possibilities and identify TDK business group or technology group to work with target Startups in the investment assessment process
Build and grow solid strategic partnership foundation with startups in sincere manner
Assess options to add mutual values before proposing to Investment Committee, for example Customer access, Channel access, Industry connections, TDK as customer, Operating expertise, NRE to align on strategic goals, Market knowledge, Ecosystem value
Continuously seek for potential and new values/benefits for our portfolio companies
Establish high quality communication and presentations back to TDK on startups we invest in
Identify and reach out to TDK teams that would benefit from learning about our portfolio companies
Introduce the start-ups we invest in, explain why we invested in them, and what are the learnings and benefits we expect from such investments
Update learnings and benefits that TDK group gained over time and share with TDK group

Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field
8+ years’ experience in semiconductor or similar components technology company with engineering/technology background
Understand TDK’s various technologies, strategy, value proposition and understand Startup technology, strategy, value proposition
Proven ability to establish internal networks, be able to develop solid knowledge of TDK business and technology
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in the English language and ability to articulate insights, concepts and recommendations clearly and concisely
Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate across broad levels of people and functional roles including Startup CEOs, CTOs as well as TDK executives and engineering teams
Strong work ethic, accountability, and team mentality
Demonstrable strong interest in corporate growth strategy, open innovation and strategic business development
